Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
Don’t Just Renew, Inc. (“Don’t Just Renew,” “we,” or “us”) runs dontjustrenew.com, a free service that connects employers with independent employee benefits advisors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to requests you submit through it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- About your company: employee count range, benefits renewal month, main ZIP code, what’s prompting your search (including anything you type in the “Other” box), whether you have employees in more than one state, and your company’s name.
- About you: your name, work email address, and phone number.
- Anything else you send us, such as a privacy request or an email.
Unfinished requests: when you enter your work email and continue to the next question, we collect your email address and your earlier answers, even if you never finish the form or click “Connect me with an advisor.”
We don’t ask for Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information about you or your employees. Please don’t send them to us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage details: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, actions taken on the site, and the page you came from.
- Campaign details: the page you first landed on, plus any advertising or campaign information in the link you followed, such as UTM parameters and Google, Facebook, or Microsoft click IDs.
- General location: the state we work out from your ZIP code, and general location that analytics tools derive from your IP address.
Consent records
When you submit the form, we record the consent wording you saw, the date and time, the page address, your IP address, and your browser details, so we can show what you agreed to.
Information from others
Advisors may tell us what happened with a referral, such as whether they reached you.
How we use information
- To match you with an independent benefits advisor and pass your request to them.
- To contact you about your request, as you agreed to when you submitted the form.
- To email you about your benefits search if you gave us your work email but didn’t finish the form.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site, and to detect spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To understand how people use the site and which of our marketing brings in requests.
- To keep records, including proof of consent, enforce our terms, and meet legal obligations.
How we share information
- The advisor we match you with. Submitting the form tells us to send your request and contact details to an independent advisor, and, if needed to make the match, to the advisor network they belong to. The advisor may contact you and handles your information under their own privacy practices. We may receive compensation from advisors when we make a referral. We don’t send unfinished requests to advisors.
- Service providers. Companies that help us run the site and deliver requests, including website hosting and security (Cloudflare), analytics (Google), and tools we use to manage and deliver requests and to communicate with you.
- Legal and safety reasons. When we believe the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business.
We don’t sell your personal information, including to data brokers or lists of brokers, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Calls, texts, and email
If you agree when you submit the form, we and the advisor we match you with may contact you by phone call, text, and email about your employee benefits, including with automated technology. Consent isn’t a condition of buying anything.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop texts, reply STOP to the sender you no longer want to hear from. For help, reply HELP or email us.
- To stop calls from us, tell us on the call or email us.
- To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link in the email.
- Advisors are independent and manage their own opt-outs, so let the advisor know directly if you no longer want to hear from them.
If you give us your work email but don’t finish the form, we may email you about your benefits search. You can use the unsubscribe link in any of those emails to stop them.
We share your phone number and your consent to be contacted only with the advisor you asked to be connected with and with the service providers that help us deliver your request. We don’t sell them or give them to anyone else for their own marketing.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Session storage is similar, but it’s cleared when you close the browser tab. We use these technologies to keep the form working and to understand how the site is used.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics cookie | Distinguishes unique users. | 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics cookie | Keeps track of your session. | 2 years |
djr-answers | Us, in session storage | Saves your form answers so you can go back or reload the page. After you submit, it keeps only your first name, company, and state for the confirmation screen. It never holds your email or phone number. | Until you close the tab |
djr-attribution | Us, in session storage | Remembers your landing page, the page you came from, and campaign details, so they can be sent with your request. | Until you close the tab |
Our hosting and security provider may also set short-lived cookies needed to protect the site.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site, such as which pages they visit and how far they get through the form. When you visit, your browser sends Google information including the page address and your IP address, and Google’s cookies help it recognize repeat visits.
We also send Google Analytics events about your progress through the form, including your employee count range, state, reasons for looking, and whether you have employees in more than one state. We don’t send it your name, email address, phone number, company name, ZIP code, or anything you type in the “Other” box.
Google may use this information to provide and improve its services, as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We use Google Analytics to measure our site, not to show you personalized ads. This site doesn’t use mobile advertising identifiers.
Your cookie choices
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. The form may need session storage to remember your answers if you go back or reload.
- Manage Google ad personalization in your Google ad settings.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
This site doesn’t respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there’s no common standard for them. We don’t sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, or where the law otherwise requires it, we’ll treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid request to opt out for that browser.
How long we keep information
- Request and contact details: for as long as we need them to make and follow up on your referral, keep business records, and meet our legal obligations.
- Unfinished requests: for as long as we need them to follow up with you, keep business records, and meet our legal obligations.
- Consent records: for as long as we may need to show that you agreed to be contacted, including the time allowed for any related legal claim.
- Google Analytics data: for as long as it’s useful for measuring and improving the site, under the retention settings in our Google Analytics account. Cookies last as shown in the table above unless you delete them.
- Session storage: until you close the browser tab.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, and if the law applies to us, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, and get a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of the sale of your information, its sharing for targeted advertising, and certain profiling.
- Appeal if we decline your request.
- Exercise these rights without being discriminated or retaliated against.
To make a request, email privacy@dontjustrenew.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we’ll reply within the time the law requires, generally within 45 days. An authorized agent can make a request for you if we can confirm they have your permission. To appeal a decision, reply to our response and tell us why you disagree. If we deny your appeal, you can contact your state attorney general.
Advisors are independent businesses, so send requests about information an advisor holds to that advisor directly.
Notice for California residents
This section applies to California residents, including people acting on behalf of a business. We collect these categories of personal information, from you, your device, and advisors, for the purposes and with the recipients described above:
- Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, IP address, and online identifiers.
- Professional or business information: company name, employee count range, benefits renewal month, and what’s prompting your search.
- Internet or network activity: pages visited, actions on the site, the page you came from, and campaign details.
- General location: ZIP code and state.
We don’t collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. How long we keep each category is described above. We disclose identifiers and business information to the advisor you ask us to connect you with, and all of these categories to service providers. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16.
California residents may also ask once a year whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. To ask, use the email address above.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn’t directed to anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Disputes
Any dispute about this policy or how we handle your information is subject to the binding arbitration agreement and class action waiver in our Terms of Use, unless you’ve opted out as described there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If we make a material change to how we use information we already hold, we’ll give you any additional notice the law requires.
